Sustainability Investment
Sustainability Investment Policy
As an asset management company committed to “creating the future through the power of investment,” we actively promote sustainable investment through five key actions, grounded in our fiduciary responsibilities and guided by our proprietary materiality map, which is developed based on an analysis of global environmental and social challenges.

Our Materiality
In order to realise our purpose of “fostering the future through the power of investment,” we have analysed and identified the key global environmental and social issues that an asset management company should address. Based on this analysis, we have defined three focus areas: Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environmental Degradation, and Human Rights, Health and Well-being.
Consideration of Sustainability in Investment
The planning and development of our sustainable investment strategy are conducted by the Sustainable Investment Strategy Department in close collaboration with both our in-house investment teams and outsourced asset managers.
Our sustainable investment system is structured around the concept of the impact of investment activities on the environment and society and is categorised into three pillars: Impact, Sustainability, and Integration.

Under our Sustainable Investment Policy, we have established a Sustainable Investment Framework (SIF) that is aligned with our stewardship activities, including engagement and the exercise of voting rights, and which also serves as the basis for applying exclusion criteria.

In making investment decisions, we take into account environmental and social issues that have a material impact on the corporate value and creditworthiness of investee companies, as well as governance-related information, including management transparency. These factors are integrated into our investment processes in a manner appropriate to the characteristics of each strategy.
Our ESG rating and scoring methodology assesses nine core materiality pillars and three governance pillars, integrating more than 200 ESG data points obtained from external vendors with proprietary analyst assessments and analysis.

Through thematic research on environmental and social issues visualised in our materiality map, we provide investment professionals with insightful inputs that support investment decision-making.

Stewardship Activities(Engagement / Proxy Voting)
Stewardship activities are undertaken by institutional investors to encourage our portfolio companies to enhance their corporate value and achieve sustainable growth through engagement and the exercise of voting rights, with the aim of enhancing medium- to long-term investment returns for clients and beneficiaries.
